The Badge and Data Facilitator is the entity responsible for managing the data ingress, egress as well as badge issuance, update, and revocation of credentials within the scheme, ensuring badges and data are governed according to the rules and roles defined by the Scheme Administrator.
The Badge and Data Facilitator is a Controlled Role within the Stockist Pathway, and its role is assigned to it by the Scheme Administrator.
This policy defines the role and responsibilities of Badge and Data Facilitators operating within the Stockist Pathway. Badge and Data Facilitators play a critical role in the onboarding of participants and the coordination of credential issuance. This policy ensures that badge and data facilitation activities are performed consistently, securely, and in compliance with governance rules set by the HAT Community Foundation.
This policy applies to all entities or individuals authorised to act as Badge and Data Facilitators under the Smart Data Scheme. Badge and Data Facilitators work alongside data providers, issuers, credential holders, and the Scheme Administrator to ensure proper onboarding and data quality.
The Badge and Data Facilitator is responsible for supporting the onboarding and credentialing of participants within the Smart Data Scheme. In the context of the Stockist Pathway, this role ensures that eligible individuals - such as agripreneurs, service providers and finance providers, are correctly verified, guided through liveness checks, and collect data legally, securely and safely, as well as apply their data to the appropriate badge templates to obtain the necessary credentials in accordance with the standards and governance principles set by the HAT Community Foundation.
