Remote Expectations

At Dataswyft, we embrace a flexible and globally distributed work culture. You will report to Tyler, who operates within the UTC-4 to UTC-5 time zones. While we value flexibility, please note that some meetings may be scheduled outside of traditional 9–5 hours in your local time zone to accommodate our global team.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS, including networking, load balancing, and high availability.
• Set up, maintain, and optimize containerized environments (e.g., Docker, ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes).
• Implement and monitor security best practices, including IAM, data encryption, access policies, and automated audits.
• Define and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment and rollback processes.
• Ensure high system uptime, performance monitoring, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate closely with backend engineers on deployment and environment needs, especially around distributed systems.

Core Skills

• 4+ years in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong experience with AWS services: EC2, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, RDS, S3, CloudWatch, SES etc.
• Proficient with containers (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS).
• Deep understanding of networking concepts: DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs, TLS.
• Proven track record of implementing security and compliance practices in cloud environments.
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
